The Library Board is an administrative and policy setting body which is responsible for the selection of the library director and for the general administration of the library. The board also confirms the decisions of the director and approves all bills.

The board is comprised of nine members appointed by the mayor with commission approval for three-year terms.

The Board meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. 

Members who serve three full consecutive terms may be reappointed at the discretion of  the city commission.
