The purpose of the Community Engagement Board shall be to work with city staff to organize, host and assist in the promotion of community events, and work with neighborhoods to form neighborhood groups or assist in the development of neighborhood centered events, including community safety events. This board would be a working board, and responsible for assisting with the creation of community events and hosting of events. 

The board is made up of seven total members, and one non-voting staff ex-officio member. One of the seven members shall be a member of the city commission.
